Since 2017, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeepers works toward accelerating progress towards the Global Goals: using powerful stories, data, and partnerships to highlight progress achieved, hold governments accountable and bring together a new generation of leaders to address the world’s major challenges.
Our challenge was to create breakthrough campaign support materials for a unique audience that included the 2019 Goalkeepers report (print, web, ebooks) and supporting data visualizations, website, social executions for pre, during, and post event campaigns, and an attendee gift box (mailer).

In an effort to thank RSVP’d attendees and increase awareness of this year’s report theme of “Examining Inequality”, custom gift boxes were designed to unfold a brief narrative around gender and geological inequality. This tailored package made to increase awareness and prepare attendees for a though-provoking Goalkeepers event; included: a welcome letter, book, bookmark, pen, custom designed notebook, and Goalkeepers pin.
This year’s Goalkeeper report unpacked the data and cultural stories around global inequality. Our team designed the print report so that key pages unfolded to allow the reader to “zoom” in and get closer to the impact of inequality. The landscape design allowed us to bring an immersive quality to the book, allowing the detail of infographics and the humanity of the photography to shine. Our design system between print and web allowed for layout flexibility while maintaining brand consistency across formats.
